Oh boy, was this episode a doozy! You’ll have to give it a listen to find out just how much “inner peace” the Skeptic actually found, or if he just spent the whole time wondering when he could move at normal speed again.
The Skeptic makes his “ruling” on whether Tai Chi is a legitimate physical intervention or just some very slow-motion placebo. We didn’t break out the graphs this time, but the subjective feedback was telling:
- Vigor & Mood: Interestingly, we saw another boost in the Skeptic’s vigor scores. Despite his initial doubts, the “slow flow” didn’t seem to sap his energy; if anything, he felt more recharged than usual.
- Mental State: While his negative mood states stayed flat, there was a noticeable shift in his overall profile. He reported feeling less “scattered,” though his skepticism regarding the mystical side of the practice remains fully intact.
- Life Demands: Interestingly, his ratings for sleep quality saw a nice little bump, and he reported feeling less irritable during his normal sport training. Maybe there is something to this “moving meditation” after all?
What should we put the Skeptic through next? We’re taking your recommendations!
